Job summary

JRT Mechanical is seeking an experienced mechanical insulator to join our insulation team in Vancouver, WA. You will measure, cut, install insulation on pipes, ducts and equipment, read blueprints, and use sealants. We offer health, dental, vision, and 401k with paid vacations and training.

Prevailing wage work available on state/federal projects. Starting wage is DOE, with hourly pay ranging from $28 to $45, and larger packages on specific projects.

Qualifications

• Experience insulating mechanical systems in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or specifications.
• Familiarity with applying sealants and protective coatings.
• Comfort working at heights and operating lifts.
• Strong housekeeping and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut insulation for pipes, ducts, and equipment.
• Remove old or damaged insulation from pipes, ducts, and equipment.
• Determine insulation types and installation methods.
• Read blueprints/specifications to determine job requirements.
• Apply sealants or protective coatings.
• Operate lifts when needed and work at heights.
• Move materials around job sites.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work area.
