Job summary

AZ Corporation in Pawtucket, RI is seeking an Insulator responsible for applying, removing, and repairing insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, and other mechanical systems on site. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or relevant field experience.
• 3–5 years of experience as an Industrial Mechanical Insulator preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Understanding and development of daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
• Industrial insulation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Regular attendance at assigned location that may include office or other project sites.
• Insulate building, tanks, vessels, boilers, stream, and hot water pipes, and cold or chilled water pipes.
• Measure and cut insulation for covering surfaces, using tape measures, handsaws, knives, and scissors.
• Determine amounts and selects required insulation material (in sheet, tubular, or roll form).
• Cover, seal, or finish insulated surfaces or access holes with metal jacketing, plastic covers, canvas strips, sealants, tapes, cement, or mastic.
• Fit insulation around obstructions, and shape insulating materials and protective coverings as required.
• Prepare surfaces for insulation application by brushing or spreading on adhesives, cement, or asphalt, or by attaching metal pins to surface.
• Cover or seal insulation to structure according to type of insulation used and structure covered.
• Install sheet metal around insulated equipment to protect the insulation from weather damage.
• Perform additional duties as directed by job site foreman, project managers, and supervisors.

Educational & Experience Requirements
