Job summary

United Group Services, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Insulator to install, repair, and maintain insulation systems on piping, vessels, and equipment across industrial projects.

The role supports thermal efficiency, energy conservation, and safety compliance by following project specifications and site procedures. You will measure, cut, fit, and secure fiberglass, mineral wool, foam, and other materials, apply jacketing, read drawings, and work safely from ladders and lifts.

Qualifications

• Experience installing industrial pipe insulation preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of insulation materials, jacketing systems, and installation techniques.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong attendance, reliability, and safety mindset.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install insulation on industrial piping systems, vessels, tanks, ductwork, and equipment.
• Measure, cut, fit, and secure various insulation materials including fiberglass, mineral wool, foam, and other specialty products.
• Apply and install metal jacketing, PVC coverings, and weatherproofing materials to protect insulation systems.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and insulation schedules.
• Identify and select appropriate insulation materials and installation methods for project requirements.
• Fabricate and install insulation around valves, flanges, fittings, and irregular surfaces.
• Inspect existing insulation systems and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while properly handling materials and tools.
• Work safely from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and elevated work surfaces.
• Follow all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.
• Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and jobsite audits.
