Job summary

Dematic is seeking talented Mechanical Installers to join a growing team. You may be based anywhere in the continental USA but must be willing to travel 100% to customer locations. You will work on various customer projects and locations with emphasis on safety and quality.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2–5 years in installing/maintaining storage and retrieval cranes or conveyors. A valid driver’s license is needed and lifting 50 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years' experience installing/maintaining cranes, conveyors, or automated equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience with conveyor system layout and installation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Take personal responsibility for safety of self and others.
• Complete mechanical tasks with high quality as directed by site supervision.
• Follow directions from site supervisor/foreman.
• Provide support to site supervisor/foreman.
• Travel 90% to customer sites within the USA.
• Lift at least 50 lbs.
• Move around large construction sites in various climates.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $22.89 - $30.96 per hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will Do In This Role:

• Take personal responsibility for safety and the safety of others around
• Complete assigned Mechanical tasks within allotted time and high quality as assigned by site supervision
• Take direction from the site supervisor or foreman
• Provide support to the site supervisor and foreman
• Travel 90% to customer sites within the USA
• Lift at least 50 lbs.
• Push, pull, squat, crawl and walk around large construction sites in various climates and environments

What We Are Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience; Technical degree or specialized training preferred but not required
• Minimum 2-5 years' experience and knowledge in installing and/or maintaining Storage and Retrieval Cranes, conveyor, or other automated equipment
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Experience in conveyor system layout, component pre-assembly, header steel installation, platform and structural steel erection, conveyor installation, guard rail, rack, air piping, detailing and run-in of installed equipment
