Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to lead on-site installation activities across diverse customer locations. You will focus on maintaining installation quality, safety, and coordination, with extensive travel to sites across the continental USA.

The role requires strong electromechanical troubleshooting experience, knowledge of AGVS/AS/RS or conveyors, and a commitment to safety and training of subcontractors. Competitive pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Service experience with AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyors is helpful.
• Experience with quality assurance.
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure installation quality on project sites, including manufacturing and subcontractor work.
• Maintain quality checklists and submit corrective actions when needed.
• Oversee on-site safety and safety audits.
• Assist with equipment trials and ensure installation meets Dematic standards.
• Provide on-site schedule and resource reporting to the project manager or customer.
• Train contract labor and subcontractors in installation procedures.
• Write clear trip reports within required timeframes.
• Identify problems and propose practical solutions.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $88,000 - $95,000 a year at the time of posting.

Finalcompensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education,experience, knowledge, and skills

Tasks and Qualifications:

What you will do in this role:

• Responsible for installation quality on the project site, including manufacturing and subcontractor quality.
• Responsible for quality checklists and submittal of Corrective Actions when discrepancies are identified.
• Responsible for on-site safety, including but not limited to safety audits.
• Assists with routine equipment trial runs to ensure that it meets specifications and assures that equipment is installed to Dematic standards.
• Provides on-site reporting on schedule and resources to the project manager and/or customer.
• Assists with the training of contract labor and subcontractors in the installation of Dematic and other material handling equipment.
• Writes concise, clear, and complete trip reports in the time frame required according to Dematic procedures.
• Identifies problems as they occur and suggests appropriate steps to tackle them in situations where the problem is not difficult or sophisticated.
• Must be able to travel on short notice and spend up to 100% of the time traveling. Should be prepared to be on call and travel as needed.
• Push, pull, crawl, squat, and walk around large construction sites in various climates and conditions.

What We Are Looking For:

• Ten years (minimum) experience in troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
• Service experience with AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyors is helpful.
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required. Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience with quality assurance.
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts - offer OT compensation.
• Must know the use of personal computers, database functions, and communications.
• Understanding personal computer hardware setup and software configuration required.
