Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of inspection experience.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, work orders, and related job documents.
  • AS9102 FAI experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Windows and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Basic understanding of Polyworks (or equivalent).
  • Experience with inspection tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspection and testing per work instructions and POs.
  • Perform in-process inspection and testing per drawings.
  • Perform final inspection and testing per work instructions and drawings.
  • Understand GD&T and use of portable CMM (FARO, Romer).
  • Document inspections in compliance with AS9102.
  • Create NCRs and ensure dispositions are completed.
  • Ensure quality standards and on-time deliveries.
  • Support ISO 9001 and AS9100 continuous improvement efforts.

Stratasys Direct Manufacturing (SDM) is seeking a skilled Mechanical Inspector II to play a critical role in ensuring product quality from start to finish. In this position, you’ll support inspections across every stage of the manufacturing process—from raw materials to final product—while ensuring strict compliance with quality standards, customer specifications, and purchase orders.

2nd Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2pm - 11pm

What You Will Be Doing

  • Perform incoming inspection and testing as required by the work instructions and PO’s with an understanding of quality requirements, specification and purchase orders
  • Perform in-process inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and drawings
  • Perform final inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and drawings
  • Basic understanding of GD&T and use of portable CMM. (FARO, Romer, etc.)
  • Perform inspection and document in compliance with AS9102
  • Create NCR’s and ensure dispositions are completed
  • Enforce company quality standards with special regard to customer satisfaction; product accuracy and appearance; and on time deliveries
  • Assist manufacturing departments in implementing quality systems such as: ISO 9001 and AS9100 internal and external monitoring; continuous process improvement; employee training
  • Assist in maintaining Quality Records resulting from inspection/test
  • Participate in 5 “S” activities as assigned
  • Assist in MRB activities
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate commitments to Stratasys Behaviors by leading, acting, and modeling these values
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the department or manager

Must Have For This Role

As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

  • Use of inspection tools
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, work orders, and related job documents
  • AS9102 FAI experience
  • Computer proficiency with MS Windows, MS Office and software
  • Excellent personal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Basic understanding of Polyworks (or equivalent)
