Job summary

East/West Industries, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to ensure quality across incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods. You will document results, verify measurements against blueprints, and approve first articles for production.

The role requires GD&T knowledge, CMM/OGP exposure, and a strong math background. Candidates should be U.S. citizens with a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably with five years of inspector experience or equivalent skills.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
• 5+ years mechanical inspector experience preferred or equivalent skills.
• Experience with AS9102 first article inspection and Net-Inspect is a plus.
• Able to read drawings, blueprints, Mil-Specs and related documents.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials against specifications; reject nonconforming items.
• Inspect in-process production and communicate adjustments to production supervisor.
• Inspect finished products and authorize rework when needed.
• Ensure products meet print specs, Mil-Specs, quality standards and AS9100 requirements.
• Document inspection results in reports and logs; input data into quality database.
• Verify purchased supplier products meet company quality standards.
• Approve first piece for production; monitor machine settings for accuracy.
• Maintain calibration system and operating measurement equipment.
