Job summary

MKS Instruments in Broomfield is seeking an Inspector 2 to partner with other inspectors to ensure product conformance to prints and specifications. You will report to the Sr.

Quality Manager and learn mechanical inspection techniques aligned with company procedures. Responsibilities include inspecting products in lab and cleanroom environments, using PLM/ERP systems for documentation and transactions, and following written drawings, procedures, and specifications to determine inspection methods

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn mechanical inspection in a fast-paced environment.
• Aptitude with numbers and basic math and geometry.
• Ability to interpret visual information.
• Proficient computer skills.
• 1+ years of experience in a similar role.

Hiring Manager to create summary of job using template below As an Inspector 2 at MKS, you will partner with other inspectors to ensure product conformance to prints and specifications. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Quality Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Learning the mechanical inspection techniques and product requirements for MKS Broomfield products.
• Working from written procedures, drawings, sketches and specifications
• Inspecting products mechanically to prints and specifications to ensure conformance. Determines or assists in determining methods, sequences and procedures necessary for inspection
• Interacting with the PLM system to access documentation and interacting with the ERP system to perform transactions.
• Performing mechanical and visual inspection in both a lab and cleanroom environment.

Skills You Bring:

• Completion of high school, vocational training or equivalent is preferred
• Willingness to learn mechanical inspection in a fast-paced environment.
• Aptitude with numbers and basic math and geometry.
• Able to absorb and interpret visual information.
• Proficient in using a computer.
• 1+ years of experience in a similar role

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
• Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination
• Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 30 lbs
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for 20% of the time
• Regularly requires manual dexterity and coordination of objects below, at and above shoulder level
• Must be able to exchange accurate information
• Operates in a laboratory environment
• Ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
• Constantly operates a computer, inspection tools and other office productivity machinery
• Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards, including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat

Hourly Pay Range: $17.31-32.12 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
