Job Title: Mechanical Inspector

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Department: Quality

Report to (Title): VP, Quality, Service and Compliance

Brief Summary of Position

Under minimal supervision, independently performs duties to ensure that all manufacturing and inspection activities are performed in compliance with process work documents.

Responsibilities
  • Inspections: Performing visual and dimensional inspections on mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using precision measuring instruments and tools.
  • Material Verification: Checking that materials conform to specifications and standards.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring that products meet established quality standards and regulations.
  • Defect Identification: Identifying and documenting non-conformities and defects in materials, parts, or assemblies.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of inspection results, including test data and reports.
  • Collaboration: Working with engineering and production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Process Improvement: Participating in root cause analysis for defects and contributing to the improvement of manufacturing processes.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all inspection activities adhere to safety protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned
