Job summary

FM Industries in Livermore, CA is hiring for a 1st shift Quality Direct/QA support role. The position involves assisting mechanical inspectors in QA labs, handling parts carefully, and ensuring upstream operations are completed and signed off.

Located in Livermore, the role offers growth within a premier manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include inspecting outgoing material for packaging conformance, completing required reports, and escalating safety concerns to the Plant Quality

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 0-2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact with fellow employees and customers in a professional manner.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Independent; can work with limited supervision and direction.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanical inspectors in the Quality Assurance labs
• Assist others moving parts carefully without causing damage, dents, cosmetic blemishes throughout the campus
• Review routers to ensure that upstream operations have been completed and signed off
• Inspect outgoing material for packaging and conformance to requirements
• Fill out and file required reports, logs, databases, forms, and documents
• Report safety or process control concerns to the Inspection Team Leader or Plant Quality Manager

Days: Mon-Fri 6:00am to 2:30pm; Swing: Mon-Fri 2:00pm to 10:30pm; Weekends: Fri-Sun 8am to 8pm
