Job summary

Kershaw Equipment LLC is seeking an Engineer II (Mechanical with structural experience) in Montgomery, AL to support mechanical and hydraulic architecture across product lines. You will collaborate with Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Systems Engineers to deliver optimized machine solutions and assist in solving production issues.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and 2–5+ years of experience, plus proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Inventor, and PDM/ERP software.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2–5+ years with mechanical‑hydraulic systems for off‑road, construction, rail, or forestry equipment preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Technology: Strong working knowledge of MS Office, AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD, PDM software and ERP/MRP software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and support mechanical and hydraulic architectures across product lines.
• Diagnose and solve problems related to hydraulic and/or mechanical systems in production.
• Develop catalog of mechanical and hydraulic components supporting vehicle architecture.
• Responsible for mechanical assemblies, hydraulic schematics, and technical support documentation.
• Maintain BOMs, published technical specifications, and related docs for assigned product lines.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.
• Engage in training, field visits, and customer interfacing to learn product lines.
• Prepare engineering deviations, change requests/orders and close items timely.
• Perform additional job‑related duties and special projects as assigned.
