Job Description

Akron area company seeking to hire an HVAC Design Engineer to collaborate with a team of engineers, sales, CAD designers, architects, project managers, and service technicians. The role involves designing and guiding the installation of various HVAC systems under the supervision of the engineering manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related degree
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience with HVAC Design
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing systems, and building materials
• Technical knowledge of forced air and hydronic HVAC equipment
• Familiarity with building codes and standards: ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, SMACNA, LEED, IFC, etc.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Willingness to occasionally drive up to two hours to job sites
• Willing to travel out of state for jobs or training for multiple days with prior notice
• Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen
• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card work permit required
