RQ Construction is quickly becoming one of the leading players in the commercial & government industry on the East Coast. We are currently seeking Mechanical General Laborer candidates to join our team at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Virginia.

As a Mechanical General Laborer, you will be responsible for performing tasks that involve physical labor using hand and power tools of all types, with prior carpentry skills preferred. You may also assist other craft workers in their duties, while cleaning and preparing sites, cleaning up rubble and debris, and removing other non-hazardous waste materials. This position may operate one or several types of power construction equipment, all while implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. RQ Construction believes in the growth and development of our employees, so on-the-job training and certifications are provided per the project's needs for safety, equipment operations, etc. Prevailing wages will be paid for work performed on the military installation.
Pay: $20.00 - 25.00 per hour
