Job summary

Confidential Recruiting Partners seeks a Mechanical Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, weld, and fabricate spiral conveyor systems in food manufacturing facilities nationwide. The role requires travel, safety focus, and hands-on mechanical skills.

Technicians must be able to pass background checks and drug testing, work with plant managers and maintenance teams, and operate in demanding industrial environments.

Qualifications

Job description

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, weld, and fabricate industrial spiral conveyor systems used in food manufacturing facilities across the United States. This is a travel‑based, customer‑facing role suited for mechanically skilled professionals who are dependable, safety‑focused, and comfortable working in demanding industrial environments. All travel is fully company‑paid, and technicians may reside anywhere in the U.S.

• Perform field welding and fabrication, including MIG and TIG welding.
• Work directly with plant managers, engineers, and maintenance teams.
• Travel nationwide for project-based assignments in food manufacturing environments.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and quality checks to ensure proper system performance.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial spiral conveyor systems at customer sites.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Professional communication and customer-facing skills.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on troubleshooting ability.

Preferred Skills

• All education levels will beconsidered.
• Welding and fabrication experience (MIG/TIG)
• Experience working in manufacturing or food production facilities.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools.
• 2+ years of industrial mechanical, maintenance, millwright, field service, or equipment installation experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to climb up to 50 ft.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts as needed.
• Ability to work in hot, cold, and variable industrial environments.
