Qualifications

• AA or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or technical degree preferred.
• Level II/III experience in blow molding set-up, operation and servicing preferred.
• Strong ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service and customer support for Bekum blow molding machines, including repair and maintenance, and customer training.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Inspect, adjust and repair equipment components using hand tools and instruments.
• Complete detailed field service reports for management and customers.
• Travel to USA and international locations (approx. 50%) to service, train, and provide technical support.
• Support Bekum products and services to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist Production, Application, and Engineering departments as required.

Job Description

We are seeking qualified candidates for our Mechanical Field Service Technician II opportunity to join our Williamston, Michigan team! This position is responsible for:

• Providing technical service and customer support for blow molding machinery, including repair, maintenance, and customer training.
• Troubleshooting equipment issues using mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Inspecting, adjusting, and repairing equipment components using various hand tools and instruments.
• Completing detailed field service reports for management and customers.
• Traveling to USA and international locations (50% of the time) to service, train, and provide technical support.
• Supporting Bekum products and services to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assisting Production, Application, and Engineering departments as required.

Qualifications

LEVEL I: Minimum Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two (2) year college or technical school; or ideally, a technical degree in a relevant field from a four (4) year college. Or minimum two (2) to three (3) years experience in blow molding or related experience in a relevant area; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LEVEL II: Minimum three (3) years experience in set-up, operation and servicing of Bekum blow molding machines, or minimum five (5) years related experience with blow molding machines in general. Good skills in processing and troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

LEVEL III: Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years experience in set-up, operation and servicing of Bekum blow molding machines, or minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years related experience with blow molding machines in general. Superior skills in processing and troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
