Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing in Utah is seeking a Mechanical Estimator with strong plumbing/wet-side estimating experience to own projects starting at $5M and up to $30M+.

You will perform takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation, review drawings and requirements, and collaborate with vendors for competitive pricing. Experience with QuoteSoft is a plus. Relocation is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical/plumbing estimating experience.
• Experience estimating projects of $1M+.
• Ideally, experience with $30M+ projects.
• Understanding of plumbing/mechanical codes and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Estimate mechanical and plumbing/wet-side scopes on $5M–$30M+ projects.
• Perform detailed takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation.
• Review drawings, specifications, proposals, and project requirements.
• Work with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
• Use QuoteSoft to build and manage estimates.
• Identify value engineering opportunities, cost risks, and bid issues.
• Participate in bid reviews and project handoffs.

Ready to move beyond small bids and take ownership of major mechanical/plumbing projects?

We’re looking for a Mechanical Estimator with strong plumbing / wet-side estimating experience who can confidently handle projects starting around $5M and ideally up to $30M+.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong wet-side mechanical/plumbing backgroundExperience with QuoteSoft or similar estimating software
• Understanding of plumbing/mechanical codes and industry standards
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Project experience that fits:

Healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, universities, and other large commercial projects.
