Job summary

U.S. Fleet Forces Command seeks an Engineering Technician (Mechanical) for the Waterfront Engineering Services Branch at TRIFERRAC-KB, Kings Bay, GA.

The role provides SME support on submarine machinery, hydraulic, pneumatic and oxygen systems, and assists in diagnostics and repairs to meet mission needs. Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex mechanical systems, advising on operability tests, and delivering production repair guidance across departments while adhering to engineering

Qualifications

Specialized experience in waterfront technical problems and documentation deficiencies.
Experience resolving DFS requests related to repair and maintenance actions.
Knowledge of shipbuilding and repair methods for mechanical, hull, and electrical systems.
Practical application of engineering principles and terminology in ship repair contexts.

Responsibilities

Provide SME for submarine machinery, systems and equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic and oxygen systems.
Provide technical and authoritative assistance on urgent mission-degrading production related problems.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical system and equipment problems.
Make recommendations to Engineering for diagnostic and operability tests.
Provide production repair guidance to the repair department for issues beyond in-house expertise.
Apply practical knowledge of engineering standards and acceptance criteria.
