Job summary

DuPont Vespel seeks a full-time Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our Ridgeway, VA site. You will design fixtures, program CNC centers, and support manufacturing improvements across multiple locations including Pencader, Newark, DE.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree in engineering technology, 10+ years of experience, and strong CAD/CAM skills, with proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering technology or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience.
• Proficiency in CNC programming.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM 3D modeling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, documentation, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for manufacturing operations including CNC machining of Vespel parts and shapes.
• Program and optimize CNC machining centers.
• Design and fabricate tooling, fixtures, and inspection gauges for discrete part manufacturing.
• Oversee the Management of Change (MOC) process to ensure production/technology changes are thoroughly reviewed and documented.
• Create work instructions to support new parts and operations.
• Support capital planning for manufacturing and facility equipment needs.
• Provide project support, including development of basic data, documentation management, and technical assistance.
• Interface with the Manufacturing Technology and Quality organizations at the Pencader site.
• Provide regular updates and communicate progress to project team leaders and stakeholders.
• Understand and adhere to Pencader Mechanical Drafting standards and practices

The Dupont Vespel business is looking for a full-time Mechanical Engineering Technician to join the team. \\*\\*This position is located at our Ridgeway, VA site.\\*\\*We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician with an Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or a related field.
