Salary: $ 72,000 to $93,000.
Schedule: 5 -8 hour shifts with overtime and some weekends as needed.
Focus: The Mechanical Engineering Technician provides hands‑on mechanical and fabrication support for a ballistic testing facility. This position is responsible for designing, fabricating, modifying, installing, and maintaining mechanical mounts, test fixtures, equipment, and other specialized hardware used to support ballistic testing and evaluation.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, general machining knowledge, fabrication experience, and the ability to translate engineering concepts and drawings into functional hardware. This role requires a hands‑on problem solver who can work independently, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and collaborate with engineers and test personnel to develop practical solutions in a demanding testing environment.
