Job summary

Altis Technology is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineering professionals for a fully remote project to support AI training and system improvements. This four-week contract requires a minimum of 10 hours per week with a flexible schedule and independent work.

You will apply your mechanical engineering expertise to review designs, validate calculations, and contribute technical explanations to AI training efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• Professional, academic, research, or hands-on engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and analysis.
• Fluency with CAD/FEA tools and MATLAB/Python for engineering analysis.

Responsibilities

• Apply mechanical engineering expertise to help train and improve AI systems.
• Review and evaluate engineering problems, solutions, designs, and explanations.

The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Engineering professionals for a fully remote project where you will apply your engineering expertise, technical judgment, and problem-solving abilities to specialized work supporting the training and improvement of AI systems.

This opportunity is ideal for mechanical engineers with strong industry, design, manufacturing, or research experience who are interested in applying their expertise to emerging technology while maintaining a flexible schedule.

The initial contract is 4 weeks, with the potential for ongoing project opportunities. Candidates must be able to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week, with work completed flexibly throughout the week based on individual availability and project requirements.

• The ability to review technical work and identify errors in calculations, assumptions, methodology, or reasoning

• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent written communication skills

• Familiarity with generative AI tools and an understanding of how human expertise and feedback can be used to train and improve AI systems

• Comfort learning and navigating new technologies and digital platforms

• Comfort working in a remote, self-directed environment

• The ability to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week
