Job summary

KPI Solutions seeks a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the mechanical design team in material handling equipment and systems. You will oversee the full product lifecycle from concept to field support and build the team's capability while enforcing safety and industry standards.

You will manage engineering schedules, budgets, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver on time, on budget solutions with high reliability and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of mechanical design experience in material handling or automation.
• 3–5+ years leading engineering teams or as a technical lead.
• Strong machine design principles and structural steel design.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and PDM/PLM systems.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and drawing standards.
• Experience in ETO/CTO environments and safety/code compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Direct mechanical design of material handling equipment and systems.
• Review designs, calculations, models, drawings, and BOMs for release.
• Ensure designs meet ASME/ISO codes and perform risk assessments.
• Drive DFMEA, DFM/DFA, and design reviews across projects.
• Coordinate with sales, controls, manufacturing, and QA for timely delivery.
