Job description

  • Take full ownership. Operate with autonomy, own problems end to end, and step beyond your immediate remit when needed.
  • Move with urgency. We operate at a pace designed to deliver critical infrastructure in months, not years.
  • Think from first principles. Challenge assumptions, solve problems from the fundamentals, and let the strongest technical solution win.
  • Push the frontier. We're building infrastructure to support the next generation of AI and high-performance computing.
  • Build something that matters. Work on some of the largest and most technically demanding infrastructure projects being developed today.
The Team

The team is responsible for the technical delivery of large-scale AI and data center infrastructure, taking projects from design through construction and energization.

Key challenges include:
  • Delivering gigawatt-scale capacity at speed. Own technical execution across multiple concurrent sites, resolving drawings, field questions, design changes, and engineering decisions without slowing construction.
  • Building data centers in months, not years. Identify engineering problems before they reach the field, where rework can have significant schedule and cost implications.
  • Creating repeatable infrastructure. Capture lessons from every project and feed them back into standardized reference designs, allowing future sites to be delivered faster and more efficiently.
Role Scope
  • Remote role, accepting applicants from any state.
  • Own mechanical engineering across a portfolio of large-scale data center developments, covering cooling plants, liquid cooling loops, and airside systems from reference design through energization.
  • Develop and evolve the mechanical reference architecture for direct-to-chip liquid cooling.
  • Make rapid field engineering decisions around routing conflicts, equipment substitutions, sequencing changes, and constructability issues.
  • Review and challenge consultant engineering packages with owner-level technical rigor before designs reach construction.
  • Work closely with construction, electrical, controls, commissioning, and infrastructure teams to accelerate project delivery.
  • Feed lessons from live projects back into standardized designs for future deployments.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience leading mechanical engineering across data centers, mission-critical facilities, or complex heavy industrial projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of liquid cooling systems, including hydraulics, controls interfaces, redundancy, and system architecture.
  • Experience making engineering and design decisions in the field under significant schedule pressure.
  • Ability to manage and challenge external engineering and design firms from a position of technical authority.
  • Strong understanding of large-scale mechanical infrastructure and mission-critical cooling.
Highly desirable:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Modular or prefabricated mechanical skid experience.
  • Hydraulic modelling and/or CFD experience.
  • Experience delivering hyperscale, AI, HPC, or other high-density data center infrastructure.
What you’ll get?
  • up to $300k base
  • Strong Equity in one of the fastest growing AI companies.
  • strong total bonus package including competitive healthcare and 401k
