Job summary

Lancesoft seeks a Mechanical Engineer contractor for load development and stress analysis of aircraft structures in Greenville, TX. The role demands hands-on classical and finite element methods, plus MRB support for interior and primary structures.

Typical tasks include FEA with Nastran/Femap, stress report preparation, and coordination with aerospace teams for certification approvals. 12+ month engagement on W2, 1st shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or equivalent engineering degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of fixed-wing commercial or military aircraft structural analysis experience.
• Proficient in classical stress analysis and finite element methods.

Responsibilities

• Load development and stress analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures and interior installations using classical methods and FEA.

Pay Rate $75 - $85/Hr

On W2 Shift 1st

Load development and stress analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structure, equipment racks, and other interior installations using classical analysis methods and finite element techniques. Provide design support, detail stress analysis, and MRB support for modification of primary aircraft structure and interior items.

Skills/Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of fixed-wing commercial or military aircraft structural analysis including the following:
• Classical stress analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structure.
• Finite element analysis using MSC Nastran and Siemens Femap.
• Construction of air vehicle FEM in Nastran.
• Calibration and validation of finite element models to test.
• Strain gage testing of aircraft for certification.
• Testing of composite and metallic structural components.
• Design and analysis of aircraft structural repairs.
• Preparation of stress reports for aircraft certification.
• Microsoft Word and Excel.

Required Skills

• Static strength analysis of major external modifications and primary structure repair and modification of fixed-wing transport category aircraft to FAA requirements.
• Advanced skills in classical and finite element analysis methods.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

Desired Skills

• NX (CAD), Teamcenter, and VBA coding in Excel

Degree Requirements
