Job summary

The Marvin Group in Southern California near LAX is offering a mechanical engineering internship. You will join the mechanical, manufacturing and tooling department and work alongside engineers to contribute to innovative projects such as Rail Launchers, Bomb Racks and Ground Vehicles.

You will gain exposure to the engineering design cycle from concept to manufacturing, interfacing with production, planning and quality teams, and you will receive training on MEC tools including CATIA V5,

Qualifications

• Must be Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Postgraduate by the start of summer in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Understanding of Manufacturing or Mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures, mechanisms, materials, and analysis
• Proficient utilizing CAD modeling, drafting and release.
• Demonstrated Mechanical design, drafting and modeling techniques.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project)

Responsibilities

• Training and application of MEC tools including CATIA V5, SolidWorks and PDM
• Design and Documentation support utilizing engineering tools, Adobe, and MS office suite
• Engineering Change Request, Engineering Change Notice/Order and Drawing Release
• Collaboration with coworkers and diverse teams
• Training on MEC processes and procedures
