Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to assist with engineering documentation, analyses, and design support. You will gain hands-on experience using Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Inventor, and SolidWorks while contributing to technical problem-solving in a dynamic theme park environment.

This in-person internship is based in Orlando, runs Summer 2027 (May–Aug 2027), and offers paid experience with potential housing assistance. Applications close Oct 26, 2026.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor or Graduate degree in an accredited program with junior status or higher.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8; transcript required at application.

Responsibilities

• Develop/review engineering drawings and documentation.
• Retrieve data from SharePoint/MAXIMO and prepare engineering drawings and presentations.
• Support testing and troubleshooting of Ride & Show elements.
• Perform engineering calculations to support theories.
• Learn integration of systems, QC and drafting practices.
• Contribute to documentation and field data collection.
