RTX in Burnsville, MN invites students to join our internship/co-op program in mechanical or aerospace engineering. You will support existing products with investigations, design improvements, and documentation updates.

You will perform tolerance analysis on components, create CAD models with Creo/SolidWorks, write test requests, and learn about joining methods and aviation development processes. This US-based role offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to aerospace development.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and enrolled through the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with CAD software such as Creo and SolidWorks.

What You Will Do

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with computer aided design (CAD) software such as Creo and/or SolidWorks

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with mechanical design and modeling software such as ANSYS and/or MATLAB
• A minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and/or PowerPoint)
• Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

• Relocation Eligibility

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
