Job summary

IMEG Corp is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Seattle, WA or the Portland/Vancouver area.   • Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent required
  • Strong interest in design consulting
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Skilled in AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
  • Preferred Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with mechanical system design for projects in accordance with code and IMEG standards
  • Assist with engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of mechanical systems for the vertical building industry
  • Support equipment research and selection for commercially available systems
  • Help maintain client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent record documentation
  • Assist with coordination of design and schedule with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment supplier teams
  • Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress
  • Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check
  • Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information
  • Conduct periodic job site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement
  • Work within the project's monetary budget and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations

What You'll Bring

Compensation

State of Washington Salary Range: $22-24 per hour The range listed above represents the base pay IMEG reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position in the work location identified above at the time of posting. For positions available in multiple locations, the minimums and maximums may vary based on work location. Individual compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and licensure and certifications. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
