Interns assist the team with project and ride update work while gaining hands-on experience in mechanical design, drafting, tolerancing, and basic stress evaluations. Salary is $18 per hour in a part-time arrangement.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of design and drafting principles.
• Ability to modify existing drawings per redline notes using SolidWorks.
• Understand part tolerancing and tolerance stack-up concepts.
• Ability to modify solid models and assemblies per engineering changes.
• Ability to create new drawings of parts and assemblies.
• Familiar with basic design concepts and procedures.
• Ability to work with limited supervision on basic designs.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow drafting practices to implement redlines into drawings.
• Update designs in SolidWorks per engineering change processes.
• Review existing part designs and provide drafting feedback.
• Understand design intent of products related to current assignment.
