Job summary

Chevron is seeking Mechanical Engineering interns at multiple U.S. locations, including Midland, TX. Interns will be paired with mentors and work on projects to support operating facilities using engineering knowledge and project management skills.

Successfully completing the internship can lead to a return internship or full-time opportunities through the Horizons Program, with tracks in Mechanical Systems development and future rotations and leadership tracks.

Qualifications

• Students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Strong academic performance in core programs, communication, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to demonstrate The Chevron Way.

Responsibilities

• Support operating facilities through application of technical engineering knowledge and project management.
• Assist in optimizing facilities for safety, reliability, and value.
• Provide technical engineering support for turnarounds and projects, develop and deploy new technologies.
• Use digitalization and data analytics to improve processes and safety.
