Westlake United States PEM plant locations offer an internship for students majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Selected interns work on assigned projects under the close supervision of a mentor and gain exposure to daily department activities and safety programs.

Candidates must be in their second year of college, have a 3.0+ GPA, and be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Travel between Westlake locations may occur during the internship.

Qualifications

• Must have completed second year of college.
• Must be majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
• Must have a 3.0 or higher GPA.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned projects with the close supervision of mentor/supervisor
• Observe activities of the assigned department/unit
• Assist mentor/supervisor in day-to-day tasks
• Actively participate in Complex safety/environmental programs
• Maintain intern work/activity journal
• Presentation to management team
