Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. is offering a 10-week Mechanical Engineering Intern program from June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027 at Reno, NV (and other U.S. sites). You will participate in hands-on design, development, analysis, testing and documentation with the engineering team.

You'll gain mentorship, project-based experience, and exposure to cross-functional teams, with opportunities to contribute to real-world defense and space initiatives.

Qualifications

• Enrolled undergraduate in ME/AE/Systems or related field.
• Solid understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn new tools, processes and methods.
• Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks) preferred.
• Able to travel for orientation, kickoff and final presentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical design, development, and analysis activities for assigned projects.
• Support development, review, and documentation of models, drawings, specs, and artifacts.
• Assist with defining, documenting, and tracking engineering requirements.
• Participate in trade studies and evaluation of design concepts.
• Support development of test approaches, fixtures, tooling, and hardware or processes.
• Participate in testing and evaluation activities, collecting and presenting data.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams.
• Document mechanical interfaces and communicate information across teams.
• Identify opportunities for design, process, and operational improvements.
• Participate in reviews, meetings, trainings, and other learning opportunities.
• Complete assigned projects and deliverables within established timelines.
