Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Fort Wayne, IN seeks an Intern, Mechanical Engineering to support both new product development and factory activities. You will collaborate with mechanical designers on CAD models and documentation, and help process ECOs as needed.

Eligible candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Mechanical or related fields, with CAD/FEA exposure preferred. This internship may involve security-clearance considerations as part of the application process.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, or a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering or related field at an accredited university.
• Preferred: CAD or analysis tools exposure and experience in mechanical design or analysis of electronic systems, structures and mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support for new product development activities and factory support of existing products.
• Work directly with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation.
• Generate and/or process engineering change orders (ECO’s) as required.
