Hendrick Automotive Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Design Intern (Part-Time) to bolster our defense industry presence. You will support automotive designs and components, develop CAD models, and assist with prototype builds.

This role is ideal for current students in Mechanical Engineering, providing invaluable hands-on experience. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to work 15+ hours per week during the semester.

Qualifications

• Current full-time student pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Sophomore or junior standing preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Available to work 15+ hours per week during the semester.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and testing of automotive structures and components.
• Develop CAD models, drawings, and design documentation.
• Assist with shop activities, prototype builds, and PLM data entry.
• Help investigate system issues and recommend improvements.
