Job summary

The University of North Florida School of Engineering seeks a 12-month, non-tenure earning Instructor of Mechanical Engineering to teach undergraduate and graduate courses with a 4/4/1 load, collaborate with local industry, and provide service to the School, College and University.

The successful candidate will hold a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; a PhD is required to teach graduate courses. Start date August 2, 2027.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field.
• A PhD is required to teach graduate courses.
• Preference for candidates with teaching experience in industry or government laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses with a 4/4/1 teaching load.

• Report to the School of Engineering Director.
