Ahlstrom invites you to join our Thilmany engineering team in Kaukauna as a Mechanical Engineering Intern or Co-Op for 2027. Work on equipment reliability, design support, and capital projects while gaining real-world experience on the production floor.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply engineering principles, and develop skills in safety, quality, and process improvement. Authorized to work in the United States is required; housing stipend is available for relocation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or related degree program.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Able to work independently and on a team.
• Comfortable on a production floor.

Responsibilities

• Follow manufacturing and hygiene processes to meet safety and quality.
• Support mechanical engineering and maintenance with reliability initiatives.
• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of equipment modifications and process improvements.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues.
• Create and update drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Assist with planning and execution of capital and maintenance projects.
• Collect and analyze equipment performance data.
• Conduct field observations and support project development.
• Work with operations, maintenance, safety, and production teams.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, and startup.
• Participate in safety initiatives.
