Job summary

Gorbel is seeking a Mechanical Engineering student intern in Victor, NY to assist product development of material handling equipment. Under supervision, you will conceptualize designs, run analyses, and help maintain CAD models and drawings in SolidWorks.

You will work with engineers to ensure reliability, performance, and cost effectiveness, performing FEA with SolidWorks Simulation and contributing to BOMs and routing in CSI9 ERP. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

• Enrollment in a 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree program.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, and develop material handling products using sound mechanical engineering principles.
• Create and maintain CAD solid models, assemblies, and detailed drawings in SolidWorks.
• Perform FEA using SolidWorks Simulation and develop supporting design calculations.
• Develop and maintain product BOMs & Routings in CSI9 (CloudSuite Industrial).
• Adhere to project timelines and budgets; support internal/external customers and vendors.
