Job summary

Gorbel, Inc. seeks an aspiring Mechanical Engineering student to assist in conceiving and developing material handling products. You will work under the Mechanical Engineering Manager to ensure reliability, performance, and customer acceptance.

This role participates in design, analysis, and documentation tasks within a dynamic team environment. Responsibilities include CAD modeling in SolidWorks, FEA with SolidWorks Simulation, and maintaining design calculations, BOMs, and ERP records.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree program and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with CAD tools and simulations to support product development.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop material handling products under supervision.
• Create and maintain CAD models, assemblies, and drawings in SolidWorks.
• Perform FEA using SolidWorks Simulation to ensure product reliability.
• Develop and maintain design calculations and BOMs in CSI9 ERP.
• Support design reviews and collaborate with vendors as needed.

Analyze specifications, as well as business, technology & cost requirements, and implement appropriate, approved designs in a timely and cost-effective manner. Take steps necessary to ensure product reliability, performance, and customer acceptance.
