Job summary

Gorbel, Inc. is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering student to assist in developing material handling products under the guidance of the Electrical Engineering Manager. The role emphasizes CAD work, documentation, and collaboration across teams.

You will create drawings, maintain BOMs, support testing, and help fabricate test fixtures and prototypes while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a 4-year Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology degree program.
• Strong motivation with ability to meet tight deadlines and high quality requirements.
• Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
• Problem solving skills.
• Familiarity with test engineering processes/electrical test procedures.
• Experience with CAD software: SolidWorks/AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop material handling products under guidance of the Electrical Engineering Manager.
• Adhere to design and documentation practices and methodologies.
• Create and maintain CAD product detail drawings and BOMs.
• Assist in design and fabrication of test fixtures and prototype units.
• Prepare test reports for functional, accelerated and abusive tests.
• Provide technical assistance within and outside the department.
