Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking Mechanical Engineering graduates to join our Charlotte, NC office on our Natural Gas team. This is not a remote position and requires an ABET-accredited degree by Summer 2027.

You will work on a variety of projects, including pipeline design, metering stations, remote valve sites, regulatory compliance, and process control, while collaborating with project managers and across disciplines to deliver client-focused solutions.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree required by Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
  • Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices and standards.
  • Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required.
  • Our Mechanical teams work on a wide variety of projects, including Transmission & Distribution Pipeline Design, Metering and Regulation Stations, Remote Valve Sites, Regulatory Compliance, Natural Gas Generation & power plant design, and Process Control Design and Integration.

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for Mechanical Engineering graduates to join our Charlotte, North Carolina (NC), office's Natural Gas team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities
