Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Alpharetta, GA office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join their Natural Gas team. This is not a remote position.

Candidates should have 2+ years of engineering design experience, an E.I.T license or ability to obtain within 12 months, and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D. You will work on energy-focused projects, coordinate with clients, and support project management tasks.

Qualifications

  • Experience in energy discipline including design, permitting and software usage.
  • Experience with task management and assisting project management tasks.
  • Familiarity coordinating with clients and attending client meetings.

  • Support Natural Gas projects from design to permitting.
  • Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, jurisdictions, and contractors.
  • Develop plan sets and construction documents.
  • Contribute to quality control and client communications.

Overview

Kimley-Horn's Alpharetta, Georgia (GA) ffice is seeking a Civil Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join their Natural Gas team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities
  • Our Natural Gas team works on projects including:
  • Project Due Diligence and Site Constraints
  • Jurisdictional Permitting and Agency Coordination
  • Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules
  • This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projects
  • You will flourish on both building meaningful internal and external professional relationships
  • You will work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of relevant engineering design experience
  • E.I.T License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
  • Candidates should have experience within the Energy discipline including experience with design, permitting, and applicable software applications
  • Experience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management tasks
  • Familiar with coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standards
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Ability to build plan sets and other construction documents
  • Design experience that includes utilities, site layout, drainage, due diligence and permitting
