Qualifications

• Experience with catalyst, engine or aftertreatment performance data reduction and analysis.
• Proficiency in Matlab and/or Python for analysis and modeling.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions from data.
• Experience with engine or aftertreatment performance data.

Responsibilities

• Review test cell data for Aftertreatment performance and emissions shifts.
• Track hardware across current and future programs and log hours.
• Run simulations to verify catalyst performance meets program needs.
• Analyze data to determine catalyst volume required for emissions targets.
• Troubleshoot aftertreatment issues in test cell during install.
• Create diagnostic maps for aftertreatment and simulate trips.
• Gather boundary-condition data for testing and emission cycles.

Requirements For This Role

• Catalyst Experience
• Test Experience
• Matlab and/or Python analysis and modeling for engine and/or aftertreatment performance
• Proficiency in DatK and Canape
• Excellent analytical skills
• Experience with engine and/or aftertreatment performance data reduction and analysis.
• Strong understanding of engine and aftertreatment systems.
• Ability to draw conclusions from analysis and make decisions
• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry or related curriculum and 2-5 years of progressive work experience.

Typical Day

• Review test cell data and ensure no issues with Aftertreatment or performance shift.
• Ensure all cell hardware is accounted for, current and future programs. Make sure they are tracked properly electronically to accumulate hours.
• Run simulations to ensure catalyst performance meets program needs.
• Perform analysis for new programs on total catalyst volume needed to meet required emissions
• Troubleshoot and fix aftertreatment related issues/codes in test cell, especially during install
• Create aftertreatment related diagnostic maps and simulate they trip
• Gather test cell data for boundary conditions hardware will undergo while testing/out in application and for emission cycles.
