Mickey Truck Body, located in High Point, NC, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop structures, subassemblies, and components of truck and trailer bodies. You will create detailed 3D models, perform structural analyses, and support production with drawings, BOMs, and process documentation.

The role requires 3–5 years of CAD experience (Solid Edge/SolidWorks or AutoCAD Inventor), a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience outside of college or internships.
• Software experience: Solid Edge and SolidWorks.
• MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Epicor ERP experience.
• Ability to responsibly handle confidential information.

Mansioni

• Design and develop structures, subassemblies, and mechanical components of truck and trailer bodies or ambulances using CAD software (Solid Edge, SolidWorks or AutoCAD Inventor preferred).
• Create detailed 3D models of sheet metal parts, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings with appropriate tolerances and material specifications.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses (structural, load, and performance) to validate designs.
• Support production through technical drawings, BOMs, process documentation, and engineering change management.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with manufacturing, purchasing, and quality departments to ensure design intent is maintained through production.
• Review and improve existing designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and durability.
• Research materials, components, and manufacturing methods for potential implementation in future designs.
• Participate in prototype builds and testing to evaluate design performance and validate design changes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, regulatory, and customer standards.
• Provide technical support for field issues and product improvement initiatives.
