Job summary

Mission Critical Group (MCG) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design sheet metal panels, structural supports, barriers, and copper bus assemblies for low- to medium-voltage switchgear.

You will collaborate with electrical designers and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and compliance with safety standards while mentoring junior engineers. The role supports a robust U.S. manufacturing network and uplifting project delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in mechanical design for switchgear or power equipment.
• Sheet metal design, structural assemblies, and bus bar design.
• Proficiency with AutoDesk Inventor; CAD tools a plus.
• Experience with BOMs and manufacturing drawings.
• Knowledge of manufacturability, QA, cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and drawings of sheet metal panels using Inventor.
• Ensure designs meet manufacturability and safety standards.
• Integrate structural and copper bus elements with electrical drawings.
• Prepare BOMs and assembly drawings for manufacturing.
• Support project execution with cross-functional teams.
• Lead design reviews and process improvements.
