Corvid Technologies has multiple opportunities for students pursuing undergraduate and graduate Mechanical Engineering degrees to work with our team to analyze, develop, design, manufacture and test next-generation products for Government and Commercial customers. Mechanical Engineering (and similar STEM degree seeking) students can work within many areas across Corvid, from high-dynamic structural analysis to manufacturing design. Mechanical Engineers work on computational/scientific software used for Multiphysics analysis and some opportunities will support electronic packaging for fuze devices used in munitions. At Corvid, our engineers work on challenging, technical tasks, and our interns work alongside the engineers, expanding their technical knowledge and gaining exposure to the defense industry with firsthand experience.

Opportunities will be available in most Corvid locations and across our primary business areas:

  • Advanced Strike - Delivering mission-proven lethality solutions through advanced modeling, testing, and rapid prototyping. Our expertise spans warheads, fuzing, and blast and ballistic analysis for U.S. and allied weapons programs
  • Digital Engineering Solutions - Delivering advanced digital engineering by combining AI, high-fidelity modeling and simulation, immersive visualization, and high-performance computing to accelerate design and drive optimized, data-driven solutions
  • Launch Systems - Designing and delivering robust launch systems and target solutions that provide precise, repeatable performance to support hypersonic testing, weapons evaluation, and mission-critical system validation
  • Manufacturing & Prototyping - Bridging digital design and physical reality through rapid prototyping, advanced manufacturing, and integrated test and evaluation
  • Missile Defense - Strengthening Missile Defense Agency missions through modeling, simulation, testing, and engineering support that accelerates threat-informed, mission-ready missile defense solutions
  • Range Engineering - Providing comprehensive range systems support by combining advanced computational analysis with mobile, multi-domain on-range operations, maintenance, and sustainment to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget test execution

Requirements:

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen, and some positions will require an ability to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
  • Pursuing a Mechanical Engineering (or similar STEM discipline) degree with at least a 3.0 GPA (Graduate students are welcome to apply as well)
  • Demonstrated understanding of coursework related to academic pursuits and technical projects relevant to specific areas of interest
  • Ability to work at least 8-10 weeks on-site over the course of the summer (typically mid/late May through early August)

Why Intern Here:

Corvid offers a unique combination of cutting-edge defense technology, hands-on experience, and a culture that invests in its people.
