SpaceX, based in Texas, seeks a Mechanical Engineer for the Starship program. You will design, analyze, and build flight hardware across Starship and Super Heavy vehicles, aligning to design, analysis, testing, and manufacturing needs. Relocation support is available for this role.

You will perform hand calculations, FEA, and trade studies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust hardware for ambitious aerospace programs. This is a high-impact, fast-paced engineering role.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics is required/expected.
• Strong ability to use data/analysis to make fast data-driven decisions.
• Experience with trade studies and applying first principles in design decisions.

Responsabilidades

• Own the design and development of next generation launch vehicles, launch pad and production lines.
• Transform system requirements into hardware concepts and trade implementation options.
• Perform hand calculations and FEA to develop, assess, and optimize designs.
• Rapidly iterate on manufacturing processes and development testing in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure hardware integrates with all Starship systems.
• Participate in design reviews with suppliers and customers.
• Partner with engineering and production teams to generate ideas and improvements for current/next-generation vehicles.
• Own large business outcomes.
