Job description

We are hiring Mechanical Engineers across multiple levels to support spacecraft development programs including LEO/GEO satellites, smallsat platforms, and on‑orbit servicing systems. These are 6 month, contract to hire opportunities in Long Beach, CA or Denver, CO. These roles contribute to the design and development of mechanical structures, mechanisms, avionics packaging, and propulsion interfaces for advanced spacecraft.

Compensation : $105K-$170K Based on location and experience

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop spacecraft mechanical components, assemblies, and mechanisms
  • Create and maintain CAD models and drawings using NX or SolidWorks
  • Support structural analysis for launch and space environments
  • Integrate avionics and electronic assemblies within spacecraft structures
  • Contribute to propulsion system mechanical layouts and interfaces
  • Support design reviews and technical documentation
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience with spacecraft or aerospace mechanical design (experience level varies by role)
  • Proficiency with NX or SolidWorks
  • Working knowledge of GD and T
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Ability to work onsite in Long Beach, CA or Denver, CO
