Job summary

Figure is an AI robotics company based in San Jose, CA seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own softgoods and plastic parts. You will design 3D CAD parts, collaborate with industrial design, and advance robot development on the manufacturing floor.

Requires 5+ years in mechanical engineering, experience with high-volume injection molding, prototype building, and GD&T. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical-related field. US base salary $120k–$180k plus benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Experience working with industrial design departments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Biomechanical, Robotics, Mechatronics, or similar field.
• Expert in using 3D CAD software to design parts with complex geometry.
• Experience with high volume manufacturing processes specifically injection molding and die cutting.
• Experience designing and building prototypes.
• Ability to write and maintain clean documentation for design processes.

• Own the industrial design robot buck, keep up to date with latest files from our engineers and communicate with suppliers
• Design injection molded plastic parts with Class A surfaces

• Inspect first articles, build test stands, and continuously support part on robot development platforms.

Figure is an AI robotics company building general-purpose humanoid robots with human-level intelligence. Our robots are engineered to perform a wide range of tasks in commercial and industrial environments. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It's time to build.

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to own softgoods and plastic parts.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $120,000 - $180,000 annually.

The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
