Job summary

Figure is an AI robotics company based in San Jose, CA, developing general-purpose humanoid robots for commercial and industrial use. This role requires 5 days/week in-office collaboration and involves designing parts, 2D drawings, and prototype work on robot development platforms.

The candidate will work closely with industrial designers, maintain design files, and communicate with suppliers while delivering Class A surface parts and GD&T-compliant drawings for high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Experience working with industrial design departments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Biomechanical, Robotics, Mechatronics, or similar field.
• Expert in using 3D CAD software to design parts with complex geometry.
• Experience with high volume manufacturing processes specifically injection molding and die cutting.
• Experience designing and building prototypes.
• Ability to write and maintain clean documentation for design processes.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $120,000 - $180,000 annually. The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
