Job summary

The Engineer I at Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation supports design, development, validation, and continuous improvement of sink products and related accessories. Working with senior engineers, you contribute to product development projects, engineering analyses, and testing to meet performance and cost targets.

You'll collaborate with Product Management, Operations, Quality, Sourcing, and Manufacturing to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 2D drawing and 3D modeling skills; SolidWorks preferred.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and systems for NPD initiatives related to the sinks and faucet product lines.
• Direct involvement in all aspects of product development, including ideation, prototyping, design verification, and production validation.
• Evaluate customer feedback, requirements, existing designs, and performance standards to support new products.
• Research, recommendations, and execution of design enhancements for cost reduction and quality improvements.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and lab technicians for validation tests.
• Document new designs with 2D drawings, 3D models, BOMs, routers, and literature.
