Job summary

ManpowerGroup-recognized client seeks a Mechanical Engineer - Serviceability in Foster City, CA. Lead design-for-serviceability efforts, collaborate with vehicle engineering, manufacturing, and industrial design, and manage service part BOMs to optimize spare parts strategies.

The role focuses on improving serviceability, developing tooling solutions, and presenting evaluative findings to cut costs and cycle times in servicing processes. A Bachelor's in ME and 4–6 years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4-6 years of engineering experience in product design and manufacturing.
• Proven experience designing and developing products through their lifecycle.
• Strong skills in 3D CAD software, with CATIA experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Design for Serviceability by evaluating form, fit, function, and access of products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product serviceability.
• Develop and maintain service part release strategies and manage the Service BOM for spare parts planning.
• Identify, design, and provide tooling solutions to improve product serviceability and maintainability.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations and present findings to reduce costs, time, and motion in product servicing processes.
